We had an update from Allendale Primary School this week saying that 220kg of recycling has now been sent by them to Terracycle which is great. Unfortunately the beauty scheme is stopping so they are no longer able to accept items for that.
Please continue to use the bins outside church for recyclable items. Sorting through these bins takes a bit of time and you could really help us by:
• Only putting in the bins things that are on the list – see – https://allendalechurch.co.uk/recycle/
• Separating items that are for Terracycle (green bin and list) and soft plastics (blue bin and list)
Obviously we also need to continue to reduce the amount of packaging we buy and then hopefully we can reduce the amount of recycling needed!
One way you can do this is by refilling bottles with washing up liquid, laundry liquid, hand soap, multi surface cleaner and toilet cleaner at the coffee morning on the 28th.
