This week we will be looking at an alternative search engine you can use. Ecosia does the same job as Google, except they plant a tree for every search you make. Since they began their community, they have planted trees in Ethiopia, Brazil, Indonesia, Spain and many other countries. Around the world, Ecosia forests remove around 1kg of CO2 from the atmosphere per search.
If you are worried about legitimacy, Ecosia publish their monthly financial reports and tree-planting receipts on their website. They also signed a non-profit contract which requires them to stay true to their claims forever.
