Simple Eco Swaps – Cotton wool pads
Lots of us use cotton wool pads – especially for removing make up. The problem with cotton wool pads is that whilst they are made of a natural material, growing the cotton requires lots of water and often a lot of pesticides and insecticides. The pads are also often bleached and treated with chemicals.
The good news is that there are now lots of more environmentally friendly options. You can buy reusable pads made out or organic cotton, bamboo or hemp! They usually come in recyclable packaging which also cuts down on plastic waste.
