Wildlife gardens – 25th April 2021

Gardens are crucial lifelines for nature and cover more space than all of the UK’s national nature reserves put together. You can easily make your garden more wildlife friendly. Why not think about supporting Plantlife’s #NoMowMay (https://www.plantlife.org.uk/uk/discover-wild-plants-nature/nomowmay)

The iNaturalist website (https://www.inaturalist.org/) and app has lots of information and allows you to see photos of plants that have been recorded in our area.

Information and ideas from Ginny at our local Wildflower nursery (based at Higher Ground on the old school playing fields) is available at http://www.higher-ground.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Join-our-blue-campaign-2.pdf

Ginny is generally at the nursery Monday 1-3pm and Saturday 10-12 if you would like advice or to buy some plants. More volunteers are also welcome – potting up plants is a lovely way to spend some time! Contact Ginny at [email protected]
