Wildflower spotting 2 – 25th June 2023

This week’s spot in the churchyard is yellow rattle. This is growing from some of the local wildflower seeds that we have sown in the last few years. It is used to help turn grassland back to meadow – by feeding off the vigorous grasses, it eventually allows more delicate, traditional species to push their way through.
