Balloons and other single-use plastic party decorations can be really harmful for the environment.
Here are some ideas to try instead!
• Try bunting, tissue pom-poms or fresh flowers
• Borrow from friends and neighbours – they may have decorations you can borrow or sets of reusable cups / plates and cutlery.
• Use paper or reusable straws.
• For children’s parties use paper party bags and try gifts such as crayons, chalk, seeds, second hand books and homemade playdough.
